As of BidJS V2.0 (release 04-07-19), users will be able to view basic information about their outstanding invoices via our software. When you hit Send to Buyer, it will email the user prompting them to login in order to view them. (Please note that our documentation refers to this features as My Invoices, but you may have customised the My Invoices text in various places across your own site).

When the user logs in, they will click My Invoices and be taken to a list of their outstanding payment amounts with a brief description of each item:

Clicking on the auction title takes the user to that auction, and clicking on an item title takes them to the item.

**PLEASE NOTE: We will be updating this page as new features are added to My Invoices. Stay tuned!

UPDATE: As of October 2019, users will be able to view full invoices as a PDF document via the invoices page. This is currently not available for iOS devices (such as iPhones and iPads).

Some users may experience issues previewing these pages due to their browser settings, and instead the system will download the invoice for them and only display a "404 page not found" message.

If you wish to assist your users previewing their invoices rather than downloading them by default, please find solutions to this below:

Firefox

  • Open the Firefox Options window
  • Scroll down to the Applications tab.
  • Locate Portable Document Format (PDF) on the list of file types.
  • Change the Action to Preview In Firefox.
  • Click Ok.

Microsoft Edge/IE

This is complicated and involves changing default behaviour of your computer. If the user already has a prefered method of viewing PDFs then it may be beneficial to stick with their current settings. Here is the link to make the changes, if desired: https://www.nucleustechnologies.com/blog/how-to-open-pdf-documents-in-microsoft-edge/

Chrome

  • On your computer, open Chrome.
  • At the top right, click More More and then Settings.
  • At the bottom, click Advanced.
  • Under 'Privacy and security', click Site settings.
  • Near the bottom, click PDF documents.
  • Turn off Download PDF files instead of automatically opening them in Chrome.
